Who we are

The Magic Moments Foundation is a non-profit organisation formed to create a coalition of caring volunteers who are committed to consistently reaching and assisting people who are often forgotten by society. We are focused on supporting people to grow their own skills, particular the youth in our communities, and to become contributing members of their own communities. The Foundation aggressively works to make a difference in the quality of life for people in our communities through our various programs.

MMF Youth Program Committee

The Youth Program Committee exists to make sure that the MMF youth programs are amazing. We want to make a real change in the lives of young people and communities we work with. The Youth Program Committee is responsible for the youth programs delivered under the Magic Moments Foundation banner which presently is the annual Youth Leadership & Business Summit.  Ensuring this event is a success both from a youth participation perspective and an event management perspective is critical.  It is also important to use this event to help develop and grow incredible organisation that is the Magic Moments Foundation.

Filmmaking Team Member 

The Role 

To help capture the experiences that occur on a moment-to-moment basis at our Youth Leadership & Business Program.

To work with other team members to achieve the outcomes at each stage during the event and work with the audio/visual team to capture VOX pop interviews and cutaway footage off-stage.

Key responsibilities:

  • To video the event; speakers on-stage & participants off-stage
  • As a team player, take turns to ingest and sort footage of the Summit to ensure that there is a catalogue of usable video for the marketing team.
  • Work at the event as a part of the Videography Team to support the youth’s participation at the event.

Qualities 

  • Basic Videography Skills (CANON XF100, SONY FS5)
  • A love for filmmaking, cameras or capturing emotions
  • ATTENTION TO DETAIL
  • You are willing to listen and learn from the team leader but also, you are willing to teach.

Time Commitment / Availability 

The program runs for six days, however, you must only be available for a minimum  of four days (not always full days). The more the merry though! Your availability should be submitted prior to the rendering of the set schedule (June 20).

Youth Program Administrator & Event Assistant

To administer all aspect of the Cvent System (event management software) and support other team members in any other administrative tasks.  As a part of administering the event management software there will also be a requirement to interact with youth, parents and crew either over the phone or online.

To participate at the event as an integral part of the event management team.  This means each day is different and your work prior to the event will help you to excel at the event.

The Event Administrator / Assistant has their head down and their you know what up.  They are someone who understands the importance of process but also can be adaptable and flexible to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.  Just because they are a volunteer this does not lessen their desire to create a great customer experience for all those come into contact with Magic Moments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a seamless registration process for all participants using Cvent for the Youth Leadership & Business Summit
  • Provide support to all registrants should they need it – either over the phone, online or via email.
  • Understand the registration process and be able to ensure all participants are registered in a way that allows easy use of information to other members of the event team.
  • Work at the event as a part of the event management team to support the youths participation at the event.
  • Report information to team members and the board as required in a timely manner
  • Ensure that a successor is found before the term of office finishes.

 Qualities

  • Great Communication Skills
  • Great Time Management Skills.
  • BRILLIANT ATTENTION TO DETAIL is a MUST
  • Able to pick up new software easily – understand the logic to the process
  • Amazing Customer Service Skills

Time Commitment / Availability:

The average time commitment to this role would be approx.. 2 hours per week.  Also attendance at the program is necessary part of this role.  Admin set up two days before the program commences and complete the day after the program – a total of 8 days.  You will be required to stay on site for the program duration.

Photography Team Member

 To help capture the amazing experiences that occur on a moment to moment basis at our Youth Leadership & Business Program.

To work with other team members to achieve the outcomes at each stage, pre, during and post event.

To work with the Social Media Team to create strategies for great social media content.

Key responsibilities:

  • To capture amazing images
  • As a team player, take turns to down load, tag and edit images at the Summit to ensure that there is a catalogue of usable images for the marketing team
  • Be able to work as a team and happy to support your fellow team mates.
  • Work at the event as a part of the Photography Team to support the youth’s participation at the event.

Qualities

  • Great Communication Skills
  • You Love Photography and have your own quality digital camera
  • ATTENTION TO DETAIL is a MUST
  • You are willing to listen and learn from the team leader – a professional event photographer

Time Commitment / Availability:

Prior to the event there would a couple of training sessions online – to get to know the team and talk about the requirements at the event.  Approx. 2 – 3 hours.

Also attendance at the program is necessary part of this role.  The program runs for 6 days.

Social Media Team

To help promote the program through the Magic Moments Social media channels using appropriate images and information.

To work with other team members to achieve the outcomes at each stage, pre, during and post event.

To work with the photography team to create strategies for great social media content.

Key responsibilities:

  • To support the creation, development and implementation of a social media marketing plan to support the Youth Summit
  • Be available at least 1 hour a week (this can be broken down across the week) to post to social media to achieve our outcome
  • Be able to work as a team and happy to support your fellow team mates
  • Work at the event as a part of the Social Media Team to support the youth’s participation at the event.

Qualities

  • Great Communication Skills
  • You Love Social Media and want to help us grow in this area
  • ATTENTION TO DETAIL is a MUST

Time Commitment / Availability:
